主讲人简介:

Dr. Xiaobo Zhou, Fellow of American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering [AIMBE], a distinguished and tenured professor, holds The Dr. and Mrs. Carl V. Vartian Professorship at UTHealth® Houston, where he is the Director of the Center for Computational Systems Medicine. Dr. Zhou is a world-class scholar and expert in applying translational -omics, bioimaging, medical imaging, and EMR data to precision medicine. He has published over 300 international journal articles. Per Google Scholar, as of April 2023, Dr. Zhou’s research has been cited 17,391 times, and his h-index is 65. Since 2005, he has been fully and continuously funded by the NIH, NSF and other major funding entities. He is an extremely well-established, well-funded investigator and center director with internationally recognized expertise in basic, translational, and clinical research. Among noteworthy accomplishments, Dr. Zhou has pioneered high-content cellular imaging informatics, bioinformatics, systems biology, systems modeling-guided cancer and regenerative medicine, and imaging-aided surgical design/optimization.


内容简介:

By collaborating with clinicians, biologists, pathologists, radiologists, computer scientists, mathematicians, and bioengineers, the utmost goal of computational systems medicine is to develop and apply novel systems bioinformatic and imaging methods, molecular diagnosis and treatment as well as the integration of them into clinics and disease monitoring for personalized and precision medicine. In this talk, I will first briefly review our work in imaging informatics, biomedical informatics and bioinformatics, and then present our latest progress in applying deep learning to the HCC cancer screening, reinforcement learning for dynamic treatment recommendation, optimization of mRNA sequences for vaccination, as well as prediction of immunotherapy efficiency.
