摘要:The KP equation is a nonlinear dispersive wave equation in 2+1dimension. The equation admits several different types of solutions, such as quasi-periodic solutions and soliton solutions. In this talk, I will discuss these solutions in terms of Riemann theta functions. In particular, I show that the soliton solutions can be obtained by pinching some periodic cycles of the Riemann surfaces, which give singular limits of the theta functions.
报告人介绍:Yuji Kodama 教授是俄亥俄州立大学教授、博士生导师(2021年退休),目前在山东科技大学任职。克拉克森和名古屋大学博士毕业,因其对 KP 和 Toda 型可积系统的相关研究成果享誉世界,研究兴趣为偏微分方程、数学物理、可积系统、李代数、场理论、物理和工程问题的应用、偏微分方程相关的几何拓扑问题。
